Judging books by their covers is supposedly frowned upon, but judging apps by their icons generally seems to work for me – it’s partly why I investigated Bloom’s Day One in the first place. But to concentrate on its icon alone is to do it a disservice, because Day One is a handsomely designed, thoughtfully built tool for journal writing, with versions for desktop, iPad and iPhone.
