After graduating in 2015 and with only two months of internship experience between them, Louise Harling and Géraldine Pace said what the hell, let’s start a studio. “Damn, it has been quite a journey looking back,” the duo reflect on the process of building In the Pool. Starting in Paris before jetting off to sunny Barcelona, the nomadic studio has become quite the wayfaring design troupe. “We are like a big family of friends always helping and collaborating with one another,” says Louise and Géraldine, “we think it’s a real plus in our daily inspiration and it’s part of our identity!”
In the Pool found its feet in the music scene, having some friends that were already a part of it. “It gave us access to projects where we could really express ourselves, bring some fun,” the pair tell us, noting that creative freedom has always been their highest priority when choosing projects. Whether they’re ping-ponging between projects or spying inspiration in supermarkets, the pair are always staying on their toes.
