iA Writer is an uncompromisingly stripped-down (but still markedly handsome) text editor built with the intention of helping you write. There are no preferences to fiddle with, no visual noise created by rows of mostly-unused icons – the UI is about as minimal as you’re likely to find in applications of a similar nature. The result is an extremely refreshing writing experience, and one that is now available on the Mac App Store, and iPad.
