Beautifully bright depictions of the dating scene from illustration duo Cachetejack

A whole host of new projects are up on Valencia-based illustration duo Catchetejack’s website. The pair has upped its editorial commissions with a string of projects for various Spanish magazines and independent book projects.

Though composed of various 2D forms, Cachetejack’s work continues to jump off the screen. One stand out series is The Dating Dilemma, a visual interpretation of the “new rules” of dating. We see characters sweetly spooning, seductively sitting on a bar, drinking wine together and – in a slightly more mischievous illustration – slathering sun cream on their breasts while driving to Pacha.

Each image has been created in Cachetejack’s signature style of cut-out textures and blocky shapes and this approach keeps the tone light and funny. Other commissions touch upon the daily grind of life, motherhood and social media among other things and each topic is treated with equal amounts of vibrancy and gusto.
