Take five and peruse Frank Ocean’s latest photography in Homer poster book

Featuring a collection of 14 posters, the book boasts Ocean’s evolving photographic flare, plus a cameo from the green Met Gala baby, of course.

Only a year after Frank Ocean launched the independent luxury brand Homer, and we’re already well acquainted with the distinct aesthetic it has carved out in the space. The first Homer catalogue, for example, saw the artist turn to frequent collaborator and Nikes music video director Tyrone Lebon, blending intimate portraits with retro gaming and glitchiness. It was all underpinned by the shots of the merchandise itself: including handcrafted 18K gold and American lab-grown diamonds jewellery, plus pendants with an air of Pokémon about them.

Frank Ocean’s latest poster book, titled XXXL: When A Dog Comes To Stay continues this aesthetic with Ocean stepping behind the camera once more. Featuring a collection of 14 posters, with an oversized foldout in the middle, it is a retrospective of artwork released from 14 July to 25 August 2022.

Ocean amps up the styling this time around; When A Dog Comes To Stay straddles the aesthetics of lego and gaming with sword-wielding, final level-looking bosses cropping up throughout. Elsewhere, the Homer logo gets a fluffy typography treatment and Slowthai makes an appearance; as does the iconic green robot baby Ocean debuted as an accessory at the Met Gallery this year.

The book will be available at a selection of independent book stockists globally; it is currently available for purchase online at the Homer site.
