Beloved British artist David Shrigley has collaborated with Casetify on a collection of phone cases and accessories featuring Shrigley’s iconic style and satirical comedy. The pieces feature phrases like “We will probably be ok” and “Everything is totally fine”, side-by-side with Shrigley’s signature chunky black line work.
The collection launches on 25 May and fans of the artist will be able to enjoy either a favourite Shrigley artwork or a never-before-seen design, with over ten to choose from in total. There are also ways to customise the items, choosing from “bold, colourful case types, to beautiful reflective mirror surfaces and ultra drop-proof canvases” that will then feature your chosen design. One artwork – an illustration of a howling wolf – offers the option to also customise its accompanying text.
As well as iPhone cases, the collection includes Apple Watch bands, AirPods cases, grip stands, wireless chargers, laptop sleeves, and crossbody bags.
Alongside the launch of the phone cases and accessories, Casetify is also introducing a new series called Show.Case; a “new way to experience special edition accessories,” explains a recent press release. The first in this series includes “an extremely rare release of the artist’s best-selling phrase: ‘There are no rules’” which adorns Casetify’s black mirror phone case. With only 100 available of each design released as part of Show.Case, the pieces comes in a custom-made display box, turning the phone case into “a rare collectable item, with special packaging featuring Shrigley’s handwriting and illustrations.” You’ll have to join a raffle list to get your hands on anything from Show.Case though, and each frameset goes for $199. Entries to the raffle will be open from 20-23 May.
