Curzon Soho has released a 90-second swearing-packed film against its closure
London arthouse cinema Curzon Soho has released a 90-second swearing-packed film to promote a petition to save the venue from closure. Created with production company Ragged Crow and directed by Ed Edwards, the film shows Curzon Soho’s supporters repeat profanity-packed dialogue from famous films.
The cinema is at the threat of closure due to local development of the high-profile £25 billion Crossrail 2 project. Already at nearly 30 000 signatures, the petition to save this historic cultural attraction will be delivered to Crossrail developers as well as the Mayor of London.
“Losing the Curzon Soho would be yet another nail in the coffin for the arts in London for the sake of the commercial and financial gain of the minority,” says Curzon Soho on their petition page.
