Art of Football launches a Lioness collection, complete with a Russo T-shirt and Wiegman track pants

Fashion collective and creative community Art of Football has launched its first ever lifestyle collection, celebrating the Lionesses and upcoming Australia and New Zealand Fifa World Cup.

The collection features a series of garments which reference “iconic moments from the Lionesses recent history”, a press release explains. Throughout, there’s a handful of graphic tees; one breaks down the dynamics of Alessia Russo’s masterful back heel goal, another T-shirt featuring Lucy Bronze’s face adorned with her trademark sunglasses, while another pays homage to Chloe Kelly’s 110th minute tournament winning goal. Other items include a pair of track pants with Sarina Wiegman’s surname placed in a tattoo-esque heart on the back, and a classy scarf-cum-top emblazoned with the words ‘The Galdem Did’.

But the star of the show is the Button-Down Under shirt, a piece that will be created “in real-time” as the tournament rolls out, capturing its best moments. “From a blank canvas as the first ball is kicked to a true must-have fit for anybody following the action,” the press release continues. The shirt will be available to buy in a limited edition run of 150 pieces once the tournament concludes, and its creation will be documented by AOF ambassador Debra Nelson live from the action in Australia. “We’ll be creating a little piece of history with the ‘Button-Down Under’ shirt – not only is it going to look great, but it will serve as a snapshot of all the iconic moments this World Cup is going to give us,” says Debra. “I just know the community is going to love it, and hopefully we’ll see some moments of magic from the Lionesses make their way into the design!”

On top of the collection, AOF have also collaborated with Nike on a AOF X Nike scarf as seen on Euro’s captain Leah Williamson in Nike recent Like a Lioness campaign. The scarf will be dropping soon, keep your eyes peeled.
