Hot off the press – Designs of The Year winners announced
“Everyone’s a winner baby” sang Hot Chocolate and in a way they were right, but in another, more accurate way they were wrong. Of course all the work which gets nominated for the Design Museum’s prestigious Designs of the Year is brilliant, but we’ve just this minute received word which projects scooped the top prize in each of the seven categories.
The winners – of whom you can find out more using the links at the bottom of the page – are as follows…
Curator Pete Collard said: “Designs of the Year is the Design Museum’s authoritative review of the most innovative, forward-thinking and culturally relevant projects from the past 12 months. The work selected demonstrates the many ways in which design can transform our physical and cultural landscape.”
Some might have been predicted while others are sure to come as a bit of a surprise but there’s no doubting they’re all worthy winners. All eyes now turn to next week’s ceremony now when the overall victor will be crowned (sadly not literally).
